To whom it may concern,

Gender discrimination, in a general sense, means unfair attitudes towards individuals due to their gender.

In this sense gender discrimination implies individuals to be subjected to discrimination, exclusion and restriction based on structured gender roles and norms which hinder them from benefitting human rights. Gender discrimination is closely related with inequality in accessing resources and opportunities, violence, inability to benefit fundamental services, women to take place in working and political life in a limited way and power imbalance in individual relations between men and women.

Therefore gender discrimination signifies women to be deprived of basic services, to live in unequal conditions compared to men with respect to access opportunities and resources.

Gender discrimination in working life means women to be subjected to exclusion because of their gender, despite the fact that it does no effect on execution of job, and as a result, power, satisfaction level and income to be shared among men.

Among posts you published, there are the ones including gender discrimination. As issues briefly explained above are considered, although it does have no impact on executions of tasks, posts in which women are excluded are contrary to Turkish Constitution and International agreements as much as it constitutes a crime with respect to Turkish Penal Code.

In this sense, we call upon your firm to give place to posts that does not include gender discrimination, to discontinue publishing posts containing gender discrimination and to inform our Union with respect to steps will be taken about the issue.

Regards,
